Limited edition 1988 7" vinyl EP record with handprinted cover and lyric/photo insert. I do believe that this is the 2nd pressing of Hi Impact Records first release.

The cover is on a flat-glossy, yet still matte, medium heavy stock paper.  They seem to have screen printed the art on the back and front, as it smeared easily.  There's nothing wrong with the cover, but before they folded them to make the gatefold covers, they printed the ink on, stacked them up, and thus (Voila!) the inside of the cover (plain white) has little ink blotches all over it from other covers sitting on top of it before they put it together!
I've seen a few of them, and they've all looked like this.  How about you guys? Ever seen copies that didn't look like that?  I don't know if they printed the 1st pressing a different way, but I don't think so.  I thought it just had a slightly different insert & blue labels.

Anyway, the cover's EX+ shape at least.  They folded it a little off center, but you'll see it's the original fold.  Besides that, there are no problems. 

The vinyl was played a couple of times, but the only things I see are a couple of fingerprints.  EX+/NM- vinyl.  A beauty of a sXe straight edge collectible.

They fit in with the whole Youth Crew NYHC sXe scene, but were a little different.

Cover is EX+ and vinyl is the same.

There are secret messages etched into the matrix or run-out groove on the vinyl:
Side One: "The Calzone Crew is..."

Influential East Coast straight edge hardcore band from the late eighties. Formed in 1988 and broke up in 1991, the bands emotional lyrics quickly set them apart from many of the New York hardcore bands of the time. Vocalist Frank "Skip" Candelori unfortunately passed away on June 19, 2002. The Lineup Was: Skip Candelori - Vocals Jay Laughlin - Guitar Nick Greif - Bass Ken Flavell - Drums Steve Crudello - Guitar 
The band recorded for Hi Impact Records. It was a late 1980's hardcore label created and operated by Darren Walters. By the end of the 1980's Walters shut down the label and a short time later collaborated with Tim Owen to found Jade Tree Records.
From Moorstown NJ. First pressing was hand stamped on the inside of cover and has light blue centre labels, which can be seen at the bottom. The original large lyric insert was hand-screened in blue. Second press has silver labels.

  Hi Impact later became Jade Tree Records. Member Jay Laughlin later went on to "fame" in Lenola, and some members later played in the band Shadow Season.

Turning Point was a seminal straight edge hardcore band from New Jersey that existed from 1988 to 1991. Their early releases had the sound of straight edge hardcore of the time, with lyrics relating to social issues or being straight edge. The later material was a lot more emo influenced, integrating more emotional lyrics, softer vocal delivery and octave chords.

This eventually led the way for other straight edge/hardcore bands to do so, such as Split Lip, Falling Forward, etc.

Lead singer Skip Candelori and guitarist Jay Laughlin previously formed Moorsetown, New Jersey-based Pointless. Ken Flavell, drums, originally played drums with brother Chris Flavell in the early southern New Jersey hardcore band, Failsafe. Nick Greif, bass, previously played bass in the late 80's straight-edge hardcore band, Awareness. Matthew Kerfoot, guitarist in Awareness, was Greif's original choice to play drums in Turning Point. Kerfoot declined, opting to leave for college.

See the photo(s).  Sorry about my hand in the shots, (if it is), but I try to NEVER LAY THE VINYL DOWN ON ANYTHING, unlike lots of sellers, who FREAKIN' lay records down on tables and things to photograph them!  We give them all the very clean hand or WHITE GLOVE TREATMENT, as you see in the photos, and take the pics with someone holding the vinyl in the air, never touching it, pulling it carefully from its sleeve.  Whatever we sell you is going to be in the best shape possible. We're all collectors and know that other collectors appreciate the extra mile.  I mean, there may be a smoker in the building, but he doesn't blow it into the records, and we handle them as if they might explode! (Although they won't, postal person, we promise)

And as I said before, we like to grade conservatively, so you end up being happy with what you get.  It's like a surprise!  And we start auctions low so you could end up winning a rare collectible for next to nothing.  Good luck!
