TWINK

'THINK PINK'

SIRE RECORDS cat# STEC LE 93 ~ Original French Progressive psychedelia LP

Here is definitely one of the TOP BEST ALBUMS of psychedelia, from the already veteran drummer man of FAIRIES, THE IN-CROWD, TOMORROW, THE PRETTY THINGS, AQUARIAN AGE, and PINK FAIRIES. The last bandmate of Syd Barrett in the short lived 'STARS'. A colourful character, close friend to Mitch Mitchell of The Jimi Hendrix Experience and an indulger in 'certain smoked vegetables' I'm sure. The band Tomorrow had split with some discomfort, due to the singular ambitions of Keith West (aka Hopkins) in the pop market. Selling out, West dumped the band and gained a bubblegum hit, but little more and even less credibility with the UFO Club crowd who once respected him. Twink though, stuck with the program, (he cut the decades' standout album S.F.Sorrow too!) and recorded this lp of wonderfully weird psych! Twink was not copying any previous successful act, but forging his own art - and laying down superb sounds on vinyl to establish that. This is a fine piece, especially in such astoundng shape!
