TYRANNOSAURUS REX - My People Were Fair and Had Sky in Their Hair... But Now They're Content to Wear Stars on Their Brows
Debut 1968 UK first press 12-track mono vinyl LP
Housed in a front laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' sleeve with pinched spine, 'Patents Pending' & '6807' date coded flipbacks & rare 'dinosaur' lyric insert
The colours in the sleeve design remain rich & vivid, for what surely must be one of the best psychedelic artworks of the late sixties, British or otherwise
All the text is clearly legible, including John Peel's glowing notes.
The flipbacks are secure with just a bit of scuffing to one of its corners
Apart from some soft ring wear, which is unavoidable, there is only a bit of faint discolouring around the edges.
The reverse has light discolouration which does nothing to obscure or compromise the text, and a name written on the back of the sleeve.
The insert displays very little of its age, with no real discolouration and the edges & corners all sharp

The heavyweight vinyl has a handful of light hairline scuffs
Play testing confirms low levels of ambient noise in places with no loud pops or skips.

This is one of 10000 singles LP's, 12” and 7" that I HAVE COLLECTED OVER THE LAST 30 YEARS; they run from the 1950's to the 2000's and cover every style of music.
I am slowly listing them one by one and they are in a verity of condition, most are good or very good, with some in shop purchased condition (i.e. Like new), I don’t have time to play every record listed, (well only the ones I want to listen to), therefore I can’t vouch for the playing condition of this item, however if you want to know how it plays please ask and I will play it and let you know if there is any excessive hissing, scratches and what condition the vinyl is in.
I have kept most of these records for 30+ years plus so my goal is to make sure they arrive with you in the same condition that I have kept them, enjoy bidding and please feel free to ask any questions and I will try to answer them
The record will be packaged in a protective plastic cover and be despatched in a custom cardboard record sleeve with a cardboard backer.
If you purchase more than one single the cost of Shipping is an additional 50p per item won.
If you purchase over 5 singles they are posted in a thick cardboard record box rather than a standard record postage sleeve at no extra cost, which means they are protected from the weather and the postal service, every item has proof of postage.
If you purchase over 5 items and you live are outside the UK, then before we confirm the final shipping costs we need to check with the post office as there may be an additional costs dependent on weight for shipping outside of the UK and as such we may ask for an higher amount than an extra 50p per extra item depending which part of the world you live in and how many items you have purchased.
