Description
Tchaikovsky Sleeping Beauty Ansermet UK Decca SXL 2160
Ernst Ansermet conducts the Suisse Romande Orchestra in a complete performance of the "Sleeping Beauty" Ballet by Tchaikovsky. A three record set, this is an English stereo pressing on the Decca Label (SXL 2160-1-2). The labels have a full frequency stereophonic sound "fatband" and logo, "original recording by…" at 10 o’clock, and a groove. The record one is slightly dished which causes some minimal vertical movement, and there is a superficial scuff on side two. Otherwise they are of excellent appearance, and play and sound superb with a minimum of surface noise. The box has some wear along the right-hand edge (possibly silverfish damage) and is otherwise in excellent condition as is the booklet.
