Description

An original Mono 1st press of Party! on the UK Capitol label from Xmas 1965. Matrix 1/1. Labels are consistent with 1st press and exhibit the 'Sold In The UK..' statement. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover with flipbacks. 
Vinyl (Vg+) In very nice condition and has only seen a light to moderate level of use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks either side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly VERYGOOD+ level of playback with one deviation. Mono is the way to go with the Beach Boys and this Capitol pressing does a great job of serving up some quality audio. Side 1 plays best - mostly Near Ex. Side 2 - Has seen more use and as a result is varying between Vg and Vg+. Interference is mostly light and relatively infrequent. All we could detect was some light static in a couple of tracks. Then it gets slightly more elevated in track 2 Side 2. It never really gets invasive in this track, but it is audible and certainly more elevated than you'd like it to be. Overall still a very decent rendition for the most part.
Cover (Ex+) You'd have to go some to better this cover. Beautiful shiny front with just three tiny thumbnail creases. The rear, which often ages, is pristine with no signs of wear or ageing. Edge wear is pretty much non-existent. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity. A terrific example...
