Description

An original Mono 1st pressing of 'Pet Sounds' on the UK Capitol label. Matrix 1/1. Stampers 1-MD/2-MD. The labels are consistent with 1st issue and exhibit the 'Sold In The UK..' statement. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover with flipbacks. Also included is the original patents applied for inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a few marks either side - but nothing troublesome or likely to cause issue. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. The audio quality is very nice indeed....none of that duphonic nonsense....this is proper true-mono straight from the master tapes! No need to rave about the music... it speaks for itself. Do yourself a favour....listen to it the way it was intended. Interference is minor and infrequent. All we could detect was a touch of light static in a couple of tracks and certainly nothing remotely invasive. Nice!

Cover (Ex-) In great shape with a truly superb front cover - barely a crease! The rear has been well cared for too - just some light ageing creeping in in the odd place. Please note - there's a signature in the top-left. Edge wear is light and the spin is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity and really is a superb specimen.
Inner (Ex) Light ageing and no splits.
