THE BEATLES: ‘A HARD DAY’S NIGHT’ – AN ORIGINAL 1964 UK FIRST ISSUE BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE FACTORY SAMPLE MONO VINYL LP – PMC 1230.

GUARANTEED ORIGINAL, BEAUTIFUL CLEAN VINYL AND SLEEVE.

This A Hard Day’s Night LP is from the collection of Norman 'Hurricane' Smith. Norman Smith began working at Abbey Road Studio’s in 1959 as an apprentice for EMI. George Martin used him for The Beatles Recording Sessions, including their very first ever EMI Recording stint, and he continued as their Recording Engineer right through to the Rubber Soul sessions in December 1965.

A confirmation letter from MTM WORLDWIDE will be included with this album.

This ORIGINAL 1964 UK FIRST ISSUE MONO Factory Sample Vinyl LP for The Beatles ‘A HARD DAY’S NIGHT’ is a superb example. The record labels are on the traditional black and yellow Parlophone Labels, with ‘The Parlophone Co Ltd’ label rim, ‘Recording First Published 1964’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ label text.

Both record labels are in very nice Near Mint condition, bright and clean labels, showing only a couple of light centre spindle lines on each label, and the official factory sample sticker is on the side one record label.

Side 1 matrix is XEX 481-3N, and Side 2 matrix is XEX 482-3N.

Side 1 stampers: 5 GDM, and Side 2 stampers: 5 GGG.

There is an embossed KT Tax Code on the side 2 record label.

Both sides of the vinyl disc are in superb Near Mint condition, beautiful high gloss, clean vinyl surfaces, with nothing more than a couple of light insignificant surface hairlines, there are no scratches or scuffs to either side.

The album plays with a full clear powerful mono sound quality with NO skips or clicks.

The album comes in its correct and Use Emitex Lined Printed Bag which is in Excellent condition, no seam splits, just light creasing.

The original Ernest J. Day & Co Ltd London picture sleeve is in superb Near Mint condition. This is a superb very clean Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd London sleeve, the front panel is very glossy with only the mildest of record impression, and a tiny bump to the bottom right corner. The spine edge is firm and clean, and the wording perfectly legible. The reverse panel of the sleeve is very clean and white, with only light handling signs to the gate edge area.

This is one of the better examples of an early1964 original mono Beatles Album, in it’s original and much rarer Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd London sleeve!
