Description

AHDN UK 1st pressing on the UK Parlophone label from 1964. Matrix -1/-1. Stampers 2-GG/3-RT. Chubby font used on the labels which is consistent only with the very 1st Issue. Please note the label design is in transition... Side 2 is the chubby font found only on the very 1st issues.... Side 1 is the narrower font found on 2nd issues. These 1st issue stereos were not produced in the kind of vast quantities mono copies were - which makes finding a nice playing copy particular difficult to track down.
Vinyl (Ex) Remains in terrific condition, particularly given its age, and has clearly been looked after down the years. Under close inspection I can only see a couple of light marks on either side - but nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with absolutely superb clarity. Yes, there are one or two light crackles in the very occasional place but that really is about it. There is absolutely no sign whatsoever of groove-wear. Playback is of a very high standard and would be very difficult to better....
Cover (Vg) Again, has been well cared for..a lovely shiny front and a rear that only suffers some light ageing. But please note there are one or two marks [e.g. the 'A' has been coloured in]. The flipbacks are all intact, but there's some moderate edge wear to the bottom seam resulting in a one inch split. The spine is pretty much entirely intact. Overall the cover still retains good rigidity and lets not forget - it's an original stereo copy!
