• It is the STEREO PRESSING of this LP.

• The STEREO PRESSING of this LP title is MUCH LESS COMMON than the MONO PRESSING.

• This LP was released in 1964.

• It contains EARLY TRACKS by The Beatles, The Beatles with Tony Sheridan, and The Swallows.

• The STEREO LABELS are lavender and tan.

• There are three label variations among the lavender and tan stereo label pressings.

• On the record in this auction, both labels have 1 song title printed above the spindle hole.

• Also, the SIDE 1 LABEL DOES NOT CREDIT Tony Sheridan on tracks 2 through 4.

• The listing of tracks on Side 1, tracks 2 through 4 printed on the REAR COVER DOES CREDIT Tony Sheridan on Side 1, tracks 2 through 4.

• Please refer to the images of the rear cover and labels for the complete listing of the tracks on this LP.

• The Price Guide for the Beatles American Records, 6th Ed. identifies 3 different Stereo lavender and tan label variations that have or don’t have the Tony Sheridan credits printed and have no song titles above the spindle hole, 1 song title above the spindle hole or 2 song titles above the spindle hole.

• HOWEVER, there is NOT a listing/description for the Stereo lavender and tan label that DOES NOT CREDIT TONY SHERIDAN on Side 1, tracks 2 through 4, AND with 1 SONG TITLE ABOVE THE SPINDLE HOLE like the record in this auction. (Perhaps this is an error or omission in the labels’ listings/descriptions OR perhaps this is an undocumented label variation.)

• The VINYL is in VG- to G+ (Good +) CONDITION. There are numerous surface hairlines and scuffs visible, most of which cannot be felt by touch; however, there are a couple of “feelable” scratches on Side 1 (one of which is on tracks 3 and 4) and a couple of small “feelable” scratches on Side 2. Due to the lower grading on the vinyl and due to the scratches, I played both sides of this LP on my Technics turntable tracking at ½ gram to check for any skips. There are NO SKIPS, and the vinyl still has nice gloss!

• The COVER is in VERY STRONG VG CONDITION. This cover has very sturdy construction and was issued with heavy lamination. The cover is not graded higher (like VG+ Condition) due to the following: light overall wear on the front cover; moderate wear on 3 corners with some “balding”; light to moderate overall aging/foxing on the primarily-white rear cover slick; and a light stain (measuring about 5 ½ inches x 2 inches) at the top right corner of the rear cover, (Please refer to the images). There is NO Ring Wear, NO Writing, NO Tears and NO Seam Splits. In fact, there is NO WEAR on the seams and spine at all!

• This is an early U.S. Beatles pressing that was issued at the height of BEATLEMANIA when virtually ALL of the record companies (except Capitol Records, of course) were seeking out and trying to acquire the rights to release ANY and EVERY recording made by or associated with The Beatles!

  A HARD-TO-FIND STEREO PRESSING of this BEATLES LP to add to your vinyl collection!
