Description

This listing is for The Beatles "Alpha Omega" TV Products ATRBH, 1972 Unofficial Release, 4 LPs Box Set.  I bought this record set new many years ago.  I was and still am a Beatles fan. I have listed these records in used condition, but they are in really good condition. The records appears to be in very good + condition.  I haven't had a turntable in probably 30 years.  The box containing the records (cover)  I have listed in good condition. This is the lowest grade by most standards.  The top of the box has side splits on the top and bottom edges.  There are 2 splits on the left side of the top box.  The bottom of the box has 1 side split on the right side and 1 on the bottom side.  Stopped playing vinyl when CD's were introduced so am not able to test these records.  It' been many  years since I bought this set.  Close to 47 years ago.  I don't recall playing these records much as I already had every Beatles album released. Also just for kicks I have included  a picture (number 6) of the advertising piece included with the set  offering other sets which included Alpha Omega Volume II.  By the way in case your Greek is not very good, I believe Alpha Omega translates to Before and After.  Please correct me if I am wrong.  I won't be offended.
Here is some interesting information regarding this set.  Don't remember where I stole it from but here it is:
In January 1973, two pirated Beatles box sets appeared in the United States, Alpha Omega Volumes I & II: The Story Of The Beatles (Audio Tape, Inc. ATRBH 3583).  These four-lp collections were advertised on TV and radio stations in the Midwest and were sold by mail order.  Instead of taking legal action, Capitol Records countered by putting out two official Beatles anthologies.  The Beatles 1962-1966 (US:Apple SKBO 3403) and The Beatles 1967-1970 (US:  Aple SKBO 304).  However, in March, 1 $15 million dollar lawsuit was filed by manager Allen Klein on behalf of George Harrison, along with Capitol and Apple Records, against the manufacturers and distributors of the bootleg package, and against American Broadcasting Companies, Inc., who had been advertising it.
Thanks for looking.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
