Description
This is the original first Mono pressing of the album "The Beatles -aka The White Album" by The Beatles on the Apple label catalogue number PMC 7067 - 8. Matrix numbers are: Side 1, XEX- 709-1, Side 2, XEX 710-1, Side 3, XEX 711-1, Side 4, XEX 712-1 Stampers: Side 1, 9 O clock 5 3, 3 O clock TH, Side 2, 9 O clock G, 3 O clock GDG, Side 3, 9 O clock 1, 3 O clock GP, Side 4 @ 9 O clock 1, 3 O clock GM. The labels have not been aligned with the matrix numbers and stampers but I have referred to them as aligned.
These early Mono Apple albums are hard to come by in decent condition. Although unlike some of my other listings, this copy is not NEAR MINT but it is a respectable Excellent.
Vinyl side 1 is in beautiful condition with no scratches, no scuffs and no other surface marks. Side 2 is also in beautiful condition with no scratches, no scuff and no other surface marks, Side 3 is in great condition displaying only light sleeve removal and a couple of light handing marks, none of which affect play in any way, still looks great. Side 4 does display a number of light scuff lines (looks as if the record was left on a surface and slid across to be picked back up), these are quite visual but do not affect play.
The records are housed in the original Black Apple inners that have no rips, no splits and remain in great condition.
The item is complete with the original Kiss poster that has no rips, no splits and no markings of any kind. All four prints remain in Mint condition.
The outer flipback sleeve has yellowed but remains in great shape. Sleeve is numbered 0156354. There are two light thumb nail creases to the front but nothing more and these are light. The spine is a wide spine and remains nice and strong with readable text. All in all this is a lovely example.
A great example of a very collectable piece
