Description
A 1st pressing from 1964 on the UK Parlophone lable. Matrix -3N/-3N. Stampers 1-A/1-O. Judging by the matrix and stamper numbers on this pressing I would imagine this LP was among the first couple of thousand ever made. The record comes housed in its original Emitex inner sleeve and sits inside an original 1964 gatefold cover. The inside of the gatefold is lightly textured. So, this is an early original and 100% complete.
Cover (VG) Remains in good condition with a nice and shiny front and back. There's some light wear evident in places, but nothing really that noticeable. The text on the spine is still readable and the cover retains a decent level of rigidity. Please note there is the indentation of a name written to the left of the 'Mono' text on the front cover - it is just visible in the photos.
Vinyl (VG-) Again remains in decent condition, but has seen a reasonable amount of use. Under close inspection there are one or two light marks but nothing significant. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a VERYGOOD- level of playback. There is a bit of light crackle audible in places so this is certainly not for the hifi enthusiast. But it is a perfectly decent listen particularly for someone who is interested in the historical value of the LP.
Emitex (VG+) Light ageing no splits or markings.
