A BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE OF THIS ORIGINAL 1970 UK -1U-1U FIRST ISSUE LP IN IMMACULATE WELL CARED FOR CONDITION.

John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band is the debut studio album by John Lennon. It was released in 1970, after Lennon had issued three experimental albums with Yoko Ono and Live Peace in Toronto 1969, a live performance in Toronto credited to the Plastic Ono Band. The album was recorded simultaneously with Ono's debut avant garde solo album, Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono Band, at Ascot Sound Studios and Abbey Road Studios using the same musicians and production team, and featured nearly identical cover artwork. John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band is generally considered one of Lennon's finest solo albums, documenting with honesty and artistic integrity his emotional and mental state at that point in his career. In 1987, Rolling Stone magazine ranked it fourth on "The 100 Best Albums of the Last Twenty Years." In 2012, the magazine ranked it number 23 on its list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Both record labels are in beautiful Mint Minus condition, undamaged record labels showing just a few signs of play to each label.

The first issue stamped matrices are: Side 1: YEX 827-1U/Side 2: YEX 828-1U.

Stampers Side 1: 1 GD. Side 2 stampers: 2 AM.

Both sides of the Vinyl LP are in immaculate and unmarked Mint condition, the vinyl LP is simply beautiful and looks as new.

The LP comes in it’s rare and original printed Inner bag which is in undamaged Excellent condition, the bag shows just light creases and is free from splits and tears. Some of the offending lyrics on the bag have been omitted at the insistence of EMI and have been replaced with an asterisk.

The fully laminated Picture sleeve is a beautiful example in Near Mint condition, the glossy sleeve shows only mild LP indentation, and a couple of small laminate pinches.

A scarce first issue of John’s most popular album release.
