The Beatles ‘With The Beatles’ mono PMC 1206
Second Pressing Vinyl in excellent condition overall.
Very Unusual COVER with no mono on the front.
An outstanding copy with a very rare front cover variation.
Matrices 447-1N (with stamps 3 OG) 448-1N (with stamps 3 LG)
KT tax coded on side 1,
EXCELLENT audio, very occasional minor clicks, no deep pops, or loud scratchy noises.
EXCELLENT plus visual, very clean and relatively unmarked.
Both LABELS are very clean with hardly any spindle markings.
For 50 years old this is a great example!
This record can be played LOUD and the glorious 1963 mono sound is still raw and fresh!
What makes this copy ultra rare is the Garrod & Lofthouse ‘Patents Pending’ flipback cover with the DARKER photo on the front and with the GOTTA mistake printed on the back, has NO MONO on the top right hand corner!
As far as I am aware there were NO official covers like this for mono LPs. Later stereos, when mono records were being phased, out did come with a blank front in some issues but this is the first example of a mono cover to my knowledge. I can only guess that this was an omission, which managed to get through the production process. This makes it a real curio and rarity.
The cover is also in EXCELLENT condition, with no marks, stickers, writing etc. Just age discolouration with very slight ringwear and some laminate creasing on the front.
The original EMITEX poly lined inner sleeve is a lovely example.
