Description
I am continuing to downsize my vinyl collection and have listed more Beatles and Beatles-related LPs. So, please check out my other auctions for something that may interest you.
In this auction:
· “MEET THE BEATLES” by the Beatles
· This LP is Capitol Records T 2047.
· This is a MONO (Monaural) PRESSING.
· It was issued January 20, 1964.
· The COVER is in NEAR MINT MINUS CONDITION and STILL in its ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP! The shrink wrap has 2 very small tears at the bottom center area of the front cover. There are 2 very small corner pushes on the corners at the top and bottom of the opening, and the bottom corner at the opening has very slight wear due to being exposed outside the shrink wrap. There is some light overall wear on the shrink wrap, and it looks like some light dust has gotten in between the shrink wrap and the cover (but NOT much!). (I guess that can sometimes happen over 50+ years since the LP was issued!) Still, the shrink wrap has, for sure, protected this dark cover (that is prone to easily show wear). The Shrink Wrap has “breathe holes”.
· This COVER has the NUMBER “2” printed on the rear cover at lower right. This indicates that this LP came from Capitol Record’s Scranton pressing plant.
· The VINYL has a triangle “?” containing the letters IAM in the trail-off. This is the pressing mark for Capitol’s Scranton pressing plant.
· THEREFORE, this Scranton COVER contains the CORRECT Scranton vinyl pressing.
· The VINYL is in STRONG VG+ CONDITION with a few very light surface hairlines/scuffs.
· This MONAURAL PRESSING has the SECOND LABEL VARIATION which credits all songs to ASCAP except for “I Want To hold Your Hand” which is credited to BMI. (NOTE: The first label variation has NO ASCAP or BMI credits at all and has become quite rare and costly.)
· This LP comes with its ORIGINAL BLUE CAPITOL RECORDS INNER PAPER SLEEVE. This is the correct inner sleeve that was issued with this LP.
· A VERY NICE FIRST CAPITOL RECORDS BEATLES LP to add to your vinyl collection.

These grades are Good+ (G+), Very Good Minus (VG-), Very Good (VG), Very Good+ (VG+), Near Mint Minus or Very Good++ (NM- or VG++), Near Mint (NM), Mint Minus (M-), and Mint (M or MT) to VISUALLY GRADE this LP, so please know the descriptions of these grades before bidding.
