Description
This is a cracking UK 1st issue copy of ‘Please Please Me’ by The Beatles, the 1963 red label version with ‘Made In GB’; including the MPT1 tax stamp.
This is a great example of their early work and was the 2nd single that preceded their debut album of the same name.
Despite the ongoing popularity of ‘Please please Me’, I’d highly recommend the B-side ‘Ask Me Why’ to anyone familiar with their later sound or who isn’t a fan of their popularized sound generally, as it’s more reminiscent of the 50’s doo-wop movement, and represents well the crossover period in popular styles in the UK being shared with groups across the pond such as The Four Seasons.
This copy is being conservatively graded VG+ due to initials on the label, and a couple of minor visible marks that can’t be felt with a finger; however it plays through beautifully.
This is a great play and a worthy addition to anyone’s singles collection.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE OFFER LOWER-LIMIT IS SET ABOVE STARTING PRICE - please don't be that person that offers £35 pounds for it.
