Description
THE BEATLES - 'PLEASE, PLEASE ME'
This well-preserved UK STEREO pressing dates from c.1966 and is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3042
Both labels have 'Sold in UK...' texts & 'The Gramophone Co...' rims, with the 'KT' purchase tax code in the centre of the side 1 label.
1963 1st pressing matrices: YEX 94-1 & YEX 95-1
Stamper codes: 1/AP & 1/AR
Vinyl weight: 143g
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed tri-flipback cover with a small front 'stereo' indicator.
The cover is still encased within its original store shrinkwrapping.
Complete with original plain white 'Patents Applied For' inner-sleeve

A pristine pair with just 3/4 tiny faint spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Factory-fresh, deep-gloss playing surfaces which shine 'as new'. The disc has two tiny 2mm scratches at the beginning of track 4 and end of track 6 on side 1, and a further small 1mm mark on track 1 of side 2. Inspection beneath halogen light reveals just some harmless wispy inner-sleeve removal paper hairlines beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +
Played less than a handful of times on quality equipment, the sound is clean & unworn throughout. The aforementioned marks cause a handful of soft ticks at the beginning of 'Boys' and end of 'Ask Me Why'. On side 2 there are three pops on 'Love Me Do'. Apart from that, there is nothing more to fault.

Rare to find UK pressing of this vintage within shrink. However, this example retains a loose shrink which has perfectly preserved the it leaving it in a similar condition to when it left the store 45 years ago.
The front panel is unworn with just a single small 'thumbnail' wrinkle towards the opening edge, but all corners and both opening edges are clean & sharp. The shrink is loose in places but still firmly in-place on the back.
The exposed rear panel is pristine and unblemished and both seams and the spine are unworn.
