The Beatles - Please Please Me UK Mono Pressing with Black and Gold Parlophone Label, incredibly low stampers/mothers and Northern Songs credits. Complete with right aligned Angus McBean sleeve and original Emitex inner.
Catalogue Number: PMC 7027
Matrix:
Side One: XEX 421-1N
Side Two: XEX 422-1N
Mothers/Stamper:
Side One: 1-T
Side Two: 1-H
Media (Play Tested): Side One - VG, Side Two G+ (barely noticeable skip on Love Me Do). Sits flat with a very slightly off perfect spin which in no way affects play. Surface marks on playing surface on both sides but sounds great. Some surface noise and age related static. One of the two original mono Gold and Black Parlophone label. Professionally cleaned. Even the spindle holes look Ok…..and look at the stampers. The Beatles have sold over 185 million albums and this is within the first 5000 ever pressed!
Sleeve: G+. Clean with no writing or marks. The Angus McBean credit is correctly right aligned and both front and back are in good shape albeit with a bit of storage wear on the corners and some light ring wear. Flip backs are clean but with storage wear and the spine shows signs of age and is lifted in title.
Inner Sleeve:. Emitex inner has a couple of small stains but the record has been stored in an anti-static inner.
What can I say about this pressing and sleeve that you haven’t already read? I will just say that this is a stunning, package. The record and sleeve are really lovely and the whole package is a great item to own and 100% worth the investment.
