Description

The Beatles - "Please Please Me" UK Sealed Reissued LP in MONO with unique catalog numbering scheme.
About the album:

  • Original owner of this and 13 other Beatle albums purchased from Tower Records, I believe in the early 2000's.
  • Parlophone/Apple/EMI release with the cover printed and the record manufactured in England.
  • Have been stored in an upright position since purchased.
  • I have not been successful in determining the release date, although I have consulted a few well-known Beatle experts. I tried to put "unknown" in the release year box, but it won't accept that, so I entered 2000 as a place holder.
  • The catalog numbering scheme is one I, and the consulted experts, have not seen before (see fifth photo). Instead of showing the catalog number for the album only (PMC 1202), the back cover includes the catalog number with icons for the album, cassette tape and CD. If you can help me out here, please drop me a note.
  • The album is still sealed, but I give it a near-mint grade due to a slight disfiguration in the upper right-hand corner of the cover (see third photo) and minor tearing/opening of the seal on the right-hand side (see second photo).
I have done my best to describe this album. If you have questions, please let me know. Since it is still sealed with the exception of the 2" tear, I will not accept returns. Sorry, sales limited to buyers in the continental U.S. only. The album will be well packed with bubble wrap and a piece of cardboard to give the package more ummpf.
Thanks for shopping and happy bidding!

Thanks to an assist from another Ebay seller, I now know that Please Please Me, and other Beatle albums, was released in 1987, following the release of the Beatles' catalog on CD. This helps to explain the unique coding features shown on the back cover. As such, this is a limited edition. I'll leave it up to you to decide the relative rarity of the album. Thanks for the assist!
