Description
The Beatles - Please Please Me Vinyl LP UK 4th Press 1963 EX/VG+ 1N/-1N.
Superb sounding very early (3rd/4th) pressing of The Beatles debut LP pressed in the year of release (1963). Small “Recording first first published” text and 1N/1N matrix endings. Unusual ZT tax code near spindle hole. This was used on the 1st to 3rd pressings but record has the 4th press labels. The ZT tax code was used between April and November 1962. Not sure if this was left over from an earlier press and then newer labels added or if they used an old mother/stamper.
Matrix info/mothers/stampers
Side 1: XEX 421-1N / 1 / MR
Side 2: XEX 422-1N / 4 / MP
The vinyl visually grades VG+ to EX with some light scuffs and marks. Some spindle light wear around the spindle hole. It’s been fully play tested however and sounds really nice. It has no major discernible distortion or background crackle. A little light background crackle on a few of the spaces between tracks but certainly nothing major and genuinely minimal. Play grade is EX to EX+
The sleeve is EX to EX+ with light edge wear
Original Emitex inner is VG+ with some light creasing.
