In excellent condition complete with lyric sheets and photographs of the "fab four". Rare and collectable - what a gift, what a present! Your chance to own this or acquire it for someone special. This item has slowly appreciated over time, it will continue to prove a good investment especially early numbers. A triple zero sold for over £1,000 at an antiques auction in the UK 2 weeks ago.

First press on the numbered Beatles white album on Apple records. A host of great tracks on this seminal 2 record album, the ninth released by the group. Appearing in 1968 the "White" album has been hailed as a landmark piece of work by the group, that were still dominating the album charts. There's everything here from the absolute classic to the totally zany.

The records are in excellent condition and with excellent to near mint fidelity (listen to sound bites on youtube URL will be published in a couple of days).

Record Grading

M- (Mint Minus) – Usually the highest grade. Records from the
1950s & 60s in this condition are truly rare.  

EX (Excellent) - Not quite Mint- but better than a VG+ May have a few scratches but doesn't affect play.
 
VG+ (Very Good Plus) – Beautiful collectible condition. Only the slightest of wear, certainly no deep scratches. VG+ (Very Good Plus) - Great condition. Well cared for.
 
VG (Very Good) – Still good condition, but more wear than VG+. 
 
VG- (Very Good Minus) - Generally not collectible condition, unless it’s a super rare record. Most dealers avoid records in this shape or below.
 
G (Good) – Lots of wear, but still playable. The most confusing grade! Good really does not mean good. It is actually quite poor condition.

A couple of people have messaged me asking about condition.
This is rated EX on a scale of Mint, Mint-, EX, VG+, VG, VG- so it falls in the around the middle of the grades that are playable, grades below VG- such as Good+, Good, Good- and Fair are all unplayable in my opinion.

So here's a different take on the listed grading

Mint = A sealed and unplayed record

Mint- = A visually near perfect record not sealed but clearly played only a few times, plays perfectly

EX = A record that has been played but still retains the gloss finish of a new record, light unobtrusive background noise an odd pop or tic

VG+ = A well played record still retaining some gloss, some background noise with pops and tics but the music very clearly predominating

VG = A very well played record with little gloss, background noise is constant with pops, tics and clicks that compete but do not overwhelm the music

VG- = A well used record showing signs of extreme wear with no gloss, background noise is at a fairly high level and clicks and pops can be clearly heard during playback

Samples are taken from the record 1 side 1 and record 1 side 2. This record is from my personal collection and was purchased when it came out it has been carefully stored in attics at 4 different addresses over its 42 year history.

I've had a message from someone who obviously has far more knowledge of this item so please read the following;

Hi I note that you have said this LP is a first press but I think you will find it`s actually a second pressing. All 1st LP labels have "sold in the UK subject to resale price condition" written above the title also the cover should be top opening & inner sleeves should be black. I have had several copies of this LP and although the matrix is -1 this is not an indication of a first press.Andy

As can be seen from our feedback we are honest traders who never seek to mislead so please bid on the item whose release number is unchanged but as Andy points out it is a second pressing not a first pressing.
