The Beatles, Revolver LP
Parlophone PMC 7009 Mono 1st Pressing
Matrix numbers: XEX-605-2 GO 1/XEX-606-1 GA 3
Released: 5. August 1966
Yellow & Black Parlophone Label with ‘Sold in UK’.
This rare first UK Mono pressing includes the withdrawn 'remix 11' version of 'Tomorrow Never Knows'
only available on this first pressing.
The record overall is in Very Good condition.
Side 1 has two or three scratches and several scuff marks but nothing that seriously affects playback
apart from the normal odd crackle in quieter moments, hence VG/VG+.
Side 2 has several light scuffs, so VG+/EX-
The record sounds great and plays without skips or sticking.
The Garrod & Lofthouse front-laminated flip-back sleeve has light wear at the opening,
some light creasing here and there (not too much), a little bit of fading and grubbiness around the edges,
mainly the rear, and the odd spot on the front (but nothing excessive), thus a solid VG+ with much of the whiteness retained.
NO unwanted hand-writing, splits or tears, but just the start of some lifting of the flip-back at the rear RH top corner
(again, nothing serious): top and bottom edges and the spine are solid, no faults to speak of.
The Yellow and Black labels have the ‘Sold in UK’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ text and the ‘KT’ tax code stamp on Side 2.
Graded as VG+ because of spindle marks.
Comes in the original Emitex poly-lined inner sleeve, which is in VG condition, with creasing and some fading,
as well as a dink to the centre of the poly liner, but no major damage.
Please take a look at my other rare original Beatles items (coming soon).
Overseas bidders please note that ‘International Signed For’ postage, handling and packing
will be charged at cost so, if successful, please await invoice before payment.
PayPal only, thank you.
MINT
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT
The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD
The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD
The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR
The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR
The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD
The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
A + OR A - IS AN INDICATION BETWEEN GRADES
