Description

An original 2nd press of Revolver on the UK Parlophone label - likely to have been purchased in Sep-1966 [A month after 1st release]. Matrix 2/2. Stampers 1-GRT/2-GTL. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original generic white 'patents applied for' inner sleeve. So 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Vg+/Ex-) In very nice condition despite having seen a moderate level of use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. We did detect a touch of light static creeping into a few of the tracks. Nothing invasive - the sort where you have to concentrate to make it out. A very solid playing original copy - what's not to like?
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and that iconic front cover is still lovely and white, with just a small amount of ageing over toward the opening. There's a couple of creases front and back, but nothing that significant. Edge wear is light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover still retains great rigidity.
Inner (Vg+)Light ageing an a two inch split to the bottom seam. Previous owner has dated inner [Sep-1966].
