Description

An original NO SIUK 1969 original heavy-set STEREO UK Parlophone Revolver. Matrix 1/1. Lovely solid pressing as you would expect from this period. A really well preserved original - not abused like so many other copies. The vinyl comes housed in an original Stereo cover with flipbacks. There's also an original advertissing inner too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In super condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks per side - fully inspected and nothing troublesome. For the vintage it looks really good. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of minor deviations. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Given the vintage - very impressive. And remember by a law of averages most original copies are not going to sound great. If you have found a really decent quiet player - YOU HAVE DEFIED THE ODDS. Both Revolver & Pepper are actually pretty fussy recordings - and finding original copies is not all the difficult. What is difficult is finding really great playing examples. A couple of isolated ticks in 'Rigby' - which otherwise plays really clean and far better than the typical rendition. You can hear all those low-key mutterings that 50/50 copies just aren't quite able to resolve. Lovein' it. A few minor crackles over the super fussy sitar notes of the 'Love You To' intro. HTE plays WAY better than you typically find with an occasional light static crackle. This track nearly always presents problems in the audio. Not here. ..It is literally holographic on the woo ooo's....Not sure I've ever witnessed it like that...very impressive. In fact, there's some finger clicking in the closing moments...have I heard that before...not sure! Overall a super original copy for a true collector. If you really want to get the full gamut on Revolver it would be well worth starting with a copy at this standard. Should suit pretty much anyone - even those with fussy tastes!
Cover (Vg+) Difficult to find in really great condition - but this example is a cut above the average copy. Nice clean front with just a couple of stress creases showing at spine edge. The rear has avoided much of the usual ageing and wear. It looks very tidy. Flipbacks are all well preserved and there's little edge wear. The spine is 85% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Minimal ageing. A small brown stain one side.
