THE BEATLES - 'REVOLVER'

1966 UK 1st PRESS *MONO* LP

Side 1 = XEX 605-2. Side 2 = XEX 606-1

Stamper numbers: 5/GT & 4/AM

This rare 1966 UK 1st mono pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 7009?

The "All rights of the manufacturer" message around the edge of the label starts with "The Gramophone Co. Ltd."

The label has "Sold in the U.K..." statement.

This is the much rarer mono version [very] first pressing, which was hastily withdrawn, which has the different mix of "Tomorrow Never Knows" (known as "remix 11") and has a matrix number on side 2 of XEX 606-1

Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text. ?The side 2 label has the incorrect 'Dr Robert' spelling as opposed to the correct spelling of Doctor Robert.? The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 2 label.

Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback RARE 'Ernest J Day & Co Ltd' printed mono cover. ?Complete with its original white 'Patents Applied For' inner-Emitex sleeve.

Matrix numbers: XEX 605-2 & XEX 606-1 ?Stamper numbers: 5/GT & 4/AM

CONDITION

Vinyl is VERY GOOD +

\

There is a few minor scratches on the record but these don't effect the audio. Apart from the minor background crackle on the quiet part of the record it plays great and has no skips or jumps.

Audio: VERY GOOD +

?Cover: EXCELLENT

This is an excellent example and has a brilliant front cover with no impressions or scratching. There are a few minor creases down the spine on the front. The cover is free from damage both front and back, with only slight colouring to the opening of the sleeve. Corners have minor scuffs All flipbacks, both seams and the spine are in perfect condition. The Ernest J Day Sleeve rear also has the incorrect Dr Robert spelling

Inner-sleeve: VERY GOOD + it would be EXCELLENT but for the issue of my mum having written 'Revolver' on the cover of the original emitex inner sleeve when she bought it as a 13 year old. Crisp, clean white & unyellowed with no splits or tears

Overall an excellent version of the RARE mono XEX 606-1 'Dr Robert' ERNEST J DAY Sleeve

The record will be posted 2nd class recorded (UK only) in a Record Mailer. Please ask for a quote for any other postal options

Cheers for looking, feel free to ask anything I've not covered.
