Description
An original 1972 copy of Revolver on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 2/2. Stampers 1-OT/1-GR. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original flipback cover. Also included is the original sepia advertising inner sleeve. Due to the fact the label perimeter text is still referring to the 'Gramophone company' and that there are flipbacks indicates this pressing is from 1972. Please note these early 70's copies are tube-cut just like the rest of the 60's output. That effectively means you can access the quality audio of the early copies without having to spend a fortune.
Vinyl (Ex+) Absolutely superb, shiny like new, and clearly has only seen light use. Under close inspection we struggled to make out a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are really quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. We didn't detect more than a couple of crackles the whole way through [literally]. Do not under estimate the quality of the audio. To reiterate these are tube-cut 60's UK pressings and preserved to a very high level. You're going to struggle beating the audio on offer here on pretty much any other copy.
Cover (Ex+) In great shape and has a nice shiny front and a rear free of the usual ageing which so often afflicts these covers. There's barely any creasing at all and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover still retains great rigidity.
Inner (Ex+) No ageing and one small seam split. Nice!
