Description

DESCRIPTION:The Beatles - Rubber Soul.  1ST MONO UK "LOUD CUT" press with matrix ending -1/-1, laminated flipback G & L sleeve, tracing paper lined Emitex inner and black and yellow labels with "The Gramophone Co. Ltd" and "Sold In UK" label text.
LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Parlophone PMC 1206:
YEAR OF RELEASE: 1965.
COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK:
CONDITION( VINYL/SLEEVE): VG/VG+ .  Vinyl is clean with a nice sheen and some scuffs and hairlines that prevent better visual grade. Played all of both sides of this this morning on my budget deck. Sits perfectly flat on the turntable. Music is clean, clear, vibrant and loud with only an occasional tick, mainly between tracks.  "Nowhere Man" does have the odd tick in the music but nothing worse. Cover is in nice clean shape, probably makes it into a VG+. It is firm and square and has only light to moderate edge wear, moderate corner wear and only light creasing. Flipbacks are in excellent undamaged shape and rear of sleeve is pretty clean with no splashes or areas of marked discoloration. Tracing paper lined Emitex inner is clean with only light wear, no splits and fully attached paper. Clean labels- check out the photos. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears.
GRADING SYSTEM: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades.
I am just starting to sell off my very extensive record collection, built up over 40 years. I have hundreds of rarities in fantastic condition from many genres including blues, punk, metal, britpop, progressive, kraut, classic and hard rock. Almost all of the records i list will be in at least VG+ condition. The only exceptions would be some extremely rare records. PLEASE ADD ME TO YOUR FAVOURITE SELLERS LIST.
