Description

An original copy of RS on UK Parlophone from summer 1969. Matrix 5/5. Some folk rate the 5/5 as the best for audio on RS. Stampers 1RL/2AG. Please note there's NO Sold In The Uk statement - and this was discontinued summer 1969. By this point in time mono was pretty much discontinued and pressings are very difficult to get hold of from this period. The vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover. We also have an original 60's inner sleeve too [not original to this EMI release].
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of the light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of slight deviations. So many copies of RS look good to the eye - but seriously disappoint on playback. But I'm pleased to report this one of the better preserved copies I've got my hands. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A very precise and impressive rendition throughout. Unusually clean for what was a very popular and heavily played title. Even those low-key fussy tracks like 'My Life' & 'Norwegian' & 'Michelle' are really clean. I detected just one isolated tick as 'CAR' closes out and 1 isolated tick during 'Norwegian'. But precious little background at all throughout the LP. Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex-) In very respectable condition with a lovely shiny and flat front - just a couple of minor thumbnails. The rear has avoided most of the ageing process - maybe just slightest evidence in places. All flipbacks are intact and secure. Edge wear is very slight and the openings firm. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. Bag present. No splits.
