Description
Very rare: The Beatles' Second Album [LP] 1969, 2nd Press One-Box EMI, Europe pressing.
UK record labels owned by EMI changed labels in 1969 from labels that had been the norm for about the previous five years. These labels included both Columbia and Parlophone. All the Beatles UK stereo LPs that had been issued on Yellow and Black (Y&B) Parlophone label got new EMI black and silver (black background, silver lettering) one box labels. The sound quality for these monos is exceptional.
Side 1 vinyl is Near Mint. Side 2 has two extremely light surface hairlines under bright light that doesn't affect the play. We sound both sides completely on our Audio Technica AT-LP120XBT-USB it sounds very clean. There are very light use marks on both labels when looking closely. Cover has several creases and basic wear. The pictures on front and back of the cover are very crisp. There is a 2" paper tear at the spine and a 3/4" split at the top edge near the spine. Someone wrote the name and play times on the back cover. Includes original inner sleeve. Vinyl is kept in a new MOFI inner sleeve for extra protection.
