The Beatles: Sgt Pepper LP, Mono, One owner since 1969, VG+
I am selling my copy of The Beatles' Sgt Pepper LP, owned by me since it was given to me as a Christmas present in 1969. I would say that the condition of the vinyl record is VG+ and the cover is VG to VG+. VG is defined as:
The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. The cover and any additional items may have normal wear and tear with no major defects.
The disk is virtually unmarked and although it has been played many times (hardly at all in the last 30 years) there is some faint vinyl crackle which is only noticeable in the quieter sections. I have played the album through and I only heard a couple of unwanted clicks. Listen around the 58 second mark in the recording of Getting Better below.
The album sleeve is a little scuffed around the edges and you can see the shape of the disk on the back cover. There is also a small area of damage to the back cover which you should be able to see in one of the photos. The insert is in excellent condition. The labels "XEX 637-1" and "XEX 638-1" are inscribed on the run-out grooves on each side of the disk. I don't know whether this is important!
The album has been stored vertically for most of its life.
