The Beatles- Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band Vinyl WIDE SPINE FIRST PRESS WITH UNUSUAL MATRIX AND TAX CODES- PLEASE READ!!
I think this may be a mega rare edition- I can't see it listed on Discogs in quite this pressing (though please contact me if you can and I'm wrong- would love to know!). It looks very similar to Discogs item 70769146, but there is no tax code on Side 1 on this copy- the KT tax code is stamped only on Side 2- and the 331/3 RPM and Stereo markings on the top of the label seem slightly lower than in that version.
This version is the wide spine, first pressing of Sgt. Pepper. "Wide spine" photo shows the wider spine on this edition (on the right) against my own copy.
Matrix is YEX 637-1 on the bottom, roughly centre-right. Both sides have "2" stamped on the left, roughly centre, with Side 1 having "P" and Side 2 having "O" (or "0") on the right. There are no other matrix stampings visible.
As for the condition, the disc plays through excellently without issue. I would grade both disc and sleeve as VG+, with a few hairlines/ light marks on both sides.
The sleeve is in great condition, as displayed, the inner bag/ paper sleeve has a slight seam split at the bottom. Cardboard cutouts present and intact, but appear to have been folded and the seams are coming apart in a couple of places.
Will happily handle any questions on this one and photos closer up if needed for serious buyers (albeit that I've been trying to capture the matrix numbers without success!).
PLEASE NOTE: International buyers, I will arrange final postage costs once the item is ended and final value determined as will need to arrange insurance cover that covers the cost of postage. Thank you.
