Description
This is a unique opportunity to purchase the double LP by The Beatles known as The White Album (PMC 7067/8), which was released in 1968, with the individual number 0001968 which replicates the year of release. SHARP SCAN OF NUMBER NOW ADDED TO PICTURES. White albums with low numbers are, of course, extremely difficult to find but this is remarkably unusual given the number 0001968. Apart from minor defects this is generally in excellent condition. Please note that the camera lens makes it look like there are marks which are not there on the white surface. Additionally, ignore any flash effects or shadows. I would point out a bump to the bottom left of the sleeve (see picture) and minor damage to the opening of the sleeve (which is, of course, top opening) including a very small tear as shown in another picture. Slight crease top left of front of sleeve. The fully laminated sleeve with flipbacks inside has minor marks, very common with The White Album, but overall the sleeve is in really nice condition as it approaches its fiftieth birthday. The lyric/poster inner has minor wear along the original creases and two tiny holes where the creases meet. Apart from very minor damage the four picture inserts are in excellent condition. The original black inner sleeves (diecut on one side only) have minor creasing and small tears (one is split down the side) but are otherwise in very good condition. The first LP (XEX 709-1 and XEX 710-1) has quite a few minor marks but is generally in very good to excellent condition. The second LP (XEX 711-1 and XEX 712-1) is of similar condition. In other words, the vinyl is not mint but certainly very playable. The value of this item is, of course contained mainly in the sleeve.
