Description
The Beatles "The Beatles" aka "The White Album" 1970 2nd-pressing 2-LP, Apple SWBO-101, with "THE BEATLES" embossed on the front but no number (the first-pressings - embossed with numbers to over 3 million - came out in November 1968 and pretty much lasted through 1969 and just into 1970), these 2 LPs are in NM condition on all 4 sides with gorgeous labels, the EX gatefold cover is in remarkably good condition, just some bumped bottom-right, balding corners (see all photos), usually these 50-year old covers get some kind of seam splitting, this one is not perfect but in great shape (note there's a staple hole in the top left which is not uncommon), the 4 photos are the original 'thick stock' (not the later issue thin ones), the huge poster has got some beginning seam tears where it's folded and grades VG/VG+, the cherry-on-top with this item is the super rare hype-sticker I found inside the gatefold! It still has the old shrink on the back where it was torn off and saved (these alone are valued at $200 in NM condition (see Perry Cox Price guide)), this sticker is in EXC condition, in Bruce Spizer's "Beatles On Apple" Book, page 121, he states this sticker (APP 101.S1A)...[was] often attached to the back cover or the album's shrinkwrap. Some of these covers have staple holes. U.S. buyer to pay $4.00 media shipping (priority available upon request). International buyers, please inquire for shipping costs. Insurance at the discretion of the buyer.
