Description

Very Rare Original 1951 "The Bud Powell Trio" Roost 401 10" LP. This is one of Powell's first releases and it is astonishing how talented he was and the music on this album is exceptional. The trio features Max Roach on drums and Curly Russell on bass. Powell's piano sounds inventive and fresh some 70 years later. Although this copy is a bit conditional, the music is still remarkable.

Record: VG/VG- The condition of this record is more due to the age of the surface. Although there are some surface marks, the record still has a nice shine but the grooves are a bit worn from the age of the record. Still, this is a rare and beautiful item that only comes around so often. Play tested, no skips or pops, just a bit of what was mentioned above. Sounded great!

Cover: VG Cover is fully intact with no splits or tears but has a bit of fading from years passed.
