Description
ARTIST: The Campers
LABEL: Parkway 974 (1966)
TITLE: The Ballard (sic) Of Batman b/w Batmobile
CONDITION:
Labels: Side A has a stamp and Side B has a touch of ring wear
Record: Retains high original gloss w/ some light surface scuffs, mostly on Side B. Also has some light groove wear, mostly on Side A. Side A plays almost Mint- w/ a little light random background surface noise. Side B plays Mint- / VPI cleaned
COMMENTS: The Campers are really Sonny Curtis & Crickets and Sonny wrote both sides. Side A is a midtempo ballad but the B Side is the winner, a great uptempo Garage track w/ a cool guitar solo. Comes with an original Parkway sleeve. The A Side is obviously a misprint and should read The Ballad Of Batman
This 45 came from a large cache of cool 50’s & 60’s records. Some are unplayed Doo Wop, early Rock & Roll, Teen Rockers & Rockabilly 45’s that came from a radio station and come in clean & numbered heavy brown sleeves. A lot are white label promos as well. Also included in this batch are a lot of 60’s Garage & Pop as well as Doo Wop, Rockabilly & Teen Rockers from different sources that have been played. I’ll be listing a new batch every week in the upcoming weeks & months.
NOTE: VPI cleaned means that this record was cleaned on a professional $500 cleaning machine, which does wonders for the playback of all vinyl records!
