Description
The Clash “I Fought The Law” b/w “White man In Hammersmith Palais”. This is the very rare original Japanese issue 7” Single with an exclusive double-sided picture print + Epic/Sony Logo die-cut sleeve. 1979 Epic Records 06 5P-74 Made in Japan. Out of print.
PICTURE PRINT: This original Japanese pressing was issued not with a traditional picture sleeve where the vinyl is housed, but rather, it is a double-sided print. The back side has lyrics in English, credits, and some liner notes in Japanese. It is of very delicate construction (really thin, fragile paper) and these were very easily damaged beyond repair. However, here is a copy that is in top condition. No rips, tears or creases. Nice sharp corners. Just some slight age discoloration along the edge on the back cover, and if you were to tilt the cover at just the right angle against bright light, some very minor “wrinkling” marks become barely noticeable. Overall, you will be hard pressed to ever find another one like this in top condition. See pics.
VINYL: Has a deep, rich, silky and mirror-like sheen. If you were to tilt the vinyl at an angle against direct sunlight or other strong light source, some faint wispy hairline marks become visible. These marks are otherwise very difficult to see in normal room light, however. See pics.
DIE-CUT PAPER SLEEVE: No seam-splits, rips or tears. See pics.
