Description
One of the most amazing compilation albums ever released in the rock music genre is The Doors' 'Weird Scenes Inside The Goldmine' (8E-6001) from 1972. It truly is a near-perfect overview of an incredible band fronted by their brilliant and gifted singer/poet, Jim Morrison. The copy I am offering is the very rare white label (radio station) promo copy and it is in fabulous condition....the best I've EVER seen. This being the very 1st pressing of this double album, the audio is also outstanding; with every song playing almost flawlessly. Another aspect of this classic album which most Doors fans will agree is a bonus, is the eerily beautiful cover art which graces the gatefold jacket. This watercolor was designed and created by artist Bill Hoffman who must be commended with being able to somehow capture in his painting, the unique and dark mystery that lies in The Doors' music.
Condition of Gatefold Jacket: Near Mint.....just minor wear to edges and corners...take a look at the photos....the colors are beautiful and intensely vivid. An absolutely gorgeous example of this classic jacket. The usual clean promotional hole punch at upper right of front cover.
Condition of Records: Near Mint.....surfaces of both records are near-perfect....with only superficial and insignificant hairlines and sleeve impressions. I've heard all 4 sides and I can assure you, the audio is sensational. The white labels are also perfect and stain-free. The original inner-sleeves are nearly perfect with no splits , tears or stains....just a little creased and obviously, showing slight evidence of the promo hole punch.
