Description
The Feelies – Crazy Rhythms lp – rare Stiff UK 1980 – exc cond
Stiff SEEZ 20 – Matrix #s A 8 C 1 / B 8 C 1
Sleeve – vg+ - front: some light corner creases and very slight ring marking, a slight spatter of dot-sized dirty marks at centre – rear side excellent, near unmarked – spine, half inch or so of serious wear, surface lift off at centre, otherwise intact – inner has light ring marks, edge discolouration, otherwise intact – vinyl has been kept in poly lined inner
Vinyl- exc- - extremely light surface marking, of kind only visible when it catches the light, except 1 slightly more substantial (though still superficial) mark on tracks 2/3 of side 1 – apart from this & a couple of v small smudges, the record looks immaculate, still retaining much of original sheen – plays very well, some surface noise at starts of sides, thereafter noticeable only occasionally on quieter sections of the music.
Listening to it 35 years after its release I’m still struck by what a startlingly different sounding band the Feelies were. Elements of ‘Loaded’ era VU, touches of punk energy, but otherwise their sound was their own. A well nice copy of a fine record.
