Description

Four Pennies - Mixed Bag ( 1966 Philips UK mono original. BL 7734 ). Extremely rare Mersey Beat album . Released after the group and indeed the whole Mersey Beat genre was basically finished. Received very little publicity at the time and sank without trace. Very very few copies turn up now. First one I've ever had. Super album...signature sound with baroque touches so indicative of the new pop art movement at the time. Front laminated cover has some colour ageing and creases . Still nice and clean...nice opening edges. no writing . VG PLUS . Black Philips labels show little sign of use. EX . Heavy pressed vinyl lies flat and true on the platter. Gleaming playing surfaces. Fantastic audio...quiet pressing. Obviously very little turntable time. Only tiny very light sleeve removal traces seen under direct light. Most would say ex plus but I will go with a very strong EX. Nicest version of this you will find !! Gradings as per : Record Collector Grading system definitions. Dealer & collector since 1974. All photos are of actual item for sale. Worldwide customers very welcome. please wait until I have sent a personal invoice before sending payment. Thank you. Any questions please get in touch. Gordon.
