Description

An original *MONO* copy of GREATEST on UK Parlophone from 1969. So, this mono copy comes just 12 months after 1st release. Well worth taking a closer look at this copy>> MONO and just 12 months from 1st release - pristine preservation. Matrix 1/1 - 1st cut. Stampers 1AR/2AG - excellent audio provenance. Well worth checking out these final Mono copies - they were pressed heavy. The vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover with flipbacks exposed and pinched spine.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) Wowzer....if you're looking for top audio you came a knockin' at the right door. This example is a total time traveller - take a look at those label shots.... Clearly has only seen the slightest use and all the original lustre is still there for your enjoyment. Under close inspection I can't make out anything more than a couple of slightest marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Pretty much perfect - and that's why it's up on line for you to get a chance to snag it. This example will leave pretty much any copy for dead. You would need to find a MINT 1st press mono just to equal it. The combination of being close to the original masters and amazing preservation means you will be treated to the cleanest the clearest rendition of these tracks you will ever hear. Practically faultless. All I could detect was a couple of crackles per side. I mean.... ...seriously...think about it!
Cover (Ex-) Not quite up to the standard of the vinyl, but more than respectable. A nice clean and flat front without much creasing. Slightest sticker removal residue top right corner [no problem at all]. The rear seems to have avoided most of the usual ageing process. Flipbacks are all intact and fully secure. Minimal edge wear. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Slightest ageing. No splits.
