Description

An original 1st stereo press of ABAL on the UK Track label. matrix A1/B1. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an  original gatefold cover with exposed flipbacks and printed by E J Day. We also have an original late 60's 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg/Vg+) An original copy which has not been abused and remains in verygood condition. Under close inspection expect a good few light marks per side, one or two are feelable [and sound] but thankfully right at the end of the LP. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly VERYGOOD+ level of playback with a couple of deviations. Not clean enough to trouble the top grades - but perfectly adequate for most who understand vintage and collectable records. Plays fine for large parts with just some light back ground in the odd spot. So, I'll concentrate on the issues.... The opening whacky space monologue at the start of side 1 [with all the space references and spacey panning sound effects to show off stereo!] - expect this passage to play with a bit of crackle and a few clicks. As side 1 closes out - in that whacky section at the end...a couple of marks cause a few clicks and pops [noticeable]. But the Lp plays through this and finishes under its own steam. Within actual proper audio tracks it plays pretty well and without major fault. Overall a well preserved original copy.
Cover (Vg+) In decent condition and has survived the years in fine condition. Nice clean front and rear without the usual heavy creasing. The interior looks great with very slight rippling in the image. Edge wear is reasonably light . The spine looks good with one inch wear at the top. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing, but no splits.
