The Magnificent Thad Jones Original 1956 Blue Note 1527 LP RARE! Lexington RVG.



Up for sale is this ridiculously rare 1956 LP of “The Magnificent Thad Jones” by Thad Jones. To the best of my knowledge, this is an original pressing. Here are some pressing details:


•Non Laminated Cover

•Flat Edge

•767 Lexington Ave. Deep Groove Label

•Hand etched RVG

•Plastylite “ear” in Side 2 runout (can’t find one on side 1)

•9M in deadwax


And now, the condition:


Record grading: G


The record itself is in pretty nice shape. Some surface scratching, a few deeper scratches might cause some ticks and pops, but no skips or repeats. Might could benefit from a deep cleaning. Labels have some water damage, but are still readable. Great playing copy!


Cover Grading: P


This cover is ROUGH!! Water damage, paper loss, seam splitting, tape, writing, and most importantly, MOLD! Refer to pictures to see what I mean.


So definitely not mint! I wouldn’t dare sell a cover in this shape normally, but since this is such a rarity, I’m afraid you wouldn’t find another cover! The record itself isn’t bad at all. A rare LP that is only going up in price!
