Sparrow's Greatest Hits- The Mighty Sparrow sings his own compositions accompanied by the Joey Lewis Orchestra, released by the RCA label (LPB-1067-127/8) in High Fidelity Mono in 1961.  Made in Jamaica.  Original Pressing!- (see photos).

*A very scarce original 1961 Jamaica pressing by the brilliant Mighty Sparrow.  Amongst all of the Trinidadian Calypso masters, Sparrow stands out for his innovative rhymes, clever songwriting, infectious rhythms and bravery to criticize any powers that be.  This is some killer stuff that definitely played a big part in the creation of what is known as Hip-Hop today.  Features "Jean and Dinah", "Melody Lie", "Jack Palance", "Russian Satellite", "Gunslingers", "Mr. Herbert" and many others.  Check out the sound clip!*

The thick Vinyl is visually-graded in VG condition.  When looked at under a very bright light, the record shows a very rich luster and a fair amount of very light surface marks.  This does have a few, very minor heat bubbles on the grooves (which is very common with records from equatorial regions), but these bubbles do not affect this record's play whatsoever.  This will play with a very full sound, but a very minimal amount of very minor surface noise will occasionally be heard.  Listen to the sound clip to get an accurate impression of this album's condition.

The Cover is graded in VG- condition, showing some very minor tearing along the right edge, two address stamps on the front, some very minor staining on the back, a fair amount of edge & crease wear, and some very minor ring wear.  Overall, this still looks very nice.

I consider my condition grading to be very conservative, and I strive to be very accurate.  See my full guarantee below!
