Description
THE ROLLING STONES
STICKY FINGERS FIRST ISSUE (Withdrawn Large Zip Cover) 1971 VGC.
Sticky Fingers Original first cover design 1971 with the very rare large “Pan” Zip in perfect working order and retaining for the most part it’s original gold colour, not tarnished and discoloured as previous copies I’ve seen over the years of this very hard to find first issue of the iconic sleeve, this sleeve with the large Pan zip was quickly withdrawn in ‘71 from stores after complaints that the large zip was causing damage to other copies being stored next to them when packed together tightly, and the sleeves then replaced with the much more common small flat zips. Rare opportunity to get one of the first (withdrawn) covers of this classic Stones album.
Sleeve VGC Minor creasing and light shelf wear only, Andy Warhol inner (underpants) card print, please see photos above.
Disc VG- well played early issue with many hairline playing marks but no deep scratches, clean labels.
MATRICES COC 59100 A4 / COC 59100 B4
