This is an original US vinyl pressing on Jubilee 5023 from 1963.    This is a Mono pressing of their only album.    The trio is Jeff Barry, Ellie Greenwich, and her sister Laura Greenwich.     Laura didn't really sing, but stayed in the group to keep up the 'trio' image.

Jeff Barry & Ellie Greenwich are most famous for writing hits for other artists.    Every song on this album was written by them and two songs were co-written with Phil Spector.    You will recognize their songs as hits by other artists.    'Hanky Panky' was a #1 hit for Tommy James & The Shondells on 6/18/66.   'Da Doo Ron Ron' was a #3 hit by The Crystals on 5/11/63.     The Raindrops took 'What A Guy' to #41 and 'The Kind Of Boy You Can't Forget' to #17.      They also wrote hits for Ray Peterson, Bob E Soxx & The Blue Jeans, Sam Cooke, Darlene Love, and The Ronnettes.

Overall Condition is : Cover is VG /  Record is M-

The cover is VG with no writing and no seam splits.   There is light partial ring wear on the front cover at top center.    There is seam wear on the bottom seam.    The corners are bumped.    The vinyl looks near mint and it plays near mint.    The labels are perfect with no spindle marks.  The record comes in a plain white inner sleeve. 

The songs are : What A Guy, Hanky Panky, I Won't Cry, It's So Wonderful, Da Doo Ron Ron, When The Boy's Happy, The Kind Of Boy You Can't Forget, Isn't That Love, Every Little Beat, Even Though You Can't Dance, That Boy's Messin' Up My Mind, and Not Too Young To Get Married.

I started collecting records in 1966.     I started selling in Goldmine in 1985.      I now sell records at all Northwest record conventions : Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Eugene, Grants Pass, and Canby.       And at Crossroads Music in Portland, Oregon.     My records are from a no smoking and no pets home.  

Packaging :

I take great care on every package and I do each one personally.     I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard.     Each piece is 1/2 inch thick, triple strength industrial cardboard.       Together they are very strong and unbendable.   ( Even the postmen comment on how strong this cardboard is ! )       I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a clear plastic sleeve.     The package will be marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides. 

Postage :  Weight : 1 pound 5 ounces

You have to pay for the postage.     I pre-weigh every record, so that you pay the exact amount the post office charges.   There are no handling charges.     This record will weigh 21 ounces ( 1 pound, 5 ounces ) when ready to ship.   US bidders can figure out your own postage costs for US Priority or Media Mail.    All US winners will get shipping through Paypal and an automatic email with the tracking number.      Overseas bidders must use First Class Mail International.    You will get an automatic email with the customs/tracking number.      ( Buyers from Brazil must assume all risks for shipping to their country. )      I will send your record as soon as you pay ( same day if before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM : Monday thru Saturday)   I will combine shipping if you win more than one record.      Please wait for me to send you an invoice for all of your records in one package.
