Description
A 1st pressing from summer 1970 on the UK Decca label. Matrix -1W/-1W. Stampers 1-UH/1-UB. Heavy set vinyl - not the later flimsy stuff. The record comes housed in a fully laminated, purple bordered, original cover printed by the Upton Printing Group. Only the very first of the first pressings exhibit all of the above characteristics. What's even better is this copy plays back blindingly well too!
Vinyl (Ex+) As you can see from the pics this copy has only seen minimal use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of very light marks, but nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are very quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity and hardly any interference. The only deviation to this is 'Love in Vain' where there's a few light crackles occasionally, but that really was all that I could make out throughout the entire LP. The actually audio quality is stunning - an unrivaled level of fidelity. From the shouts in the crowd to the high pitch wailing of the P.A. system - perfect reproduction! I very much doubt this could be bettered.
Cover (Ex) The full lamination has helped to preserve this cover in excellent condition. There's a very slight touch of ageing, but far far better than most examples. What's particularly noticeable is that there is next to no laminate lifting and only one crease that I can see. The spine is 100% intact too. Overall the cover has maintained excellent rigidity and I'd imagine it would be difficult finding a better copy.
Any purchase is guaranteed to get to you quickly, safely, and with total satisfaction, or your money back.
