Description

An original 1st issue of SF on the UK Rolling Stone label from 1971. Matrix A4/B4. Please note this Lp would have been available for purchase whilst the Lp was still charting. The labels exhibit the catalogue number at 2 o'clock and both labels mention 'record 1st published' - indicative of 1st issue. This is a nice heavy pressing and certainly sturdier than some 1st pressings I've seen. The vinyl comes housed in an original Zip cover with pinched spine. Please note the zip is fully functional - it moves with ease. Also included is the original white inner with blue text and the Richard Davis credit insert. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks each side, and one superficial trial - nothing remotely troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inetweens are mostly very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. A beautiful player by any measure which really does this STONES classic maximum justice. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All I could detect were a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments...e.g. the intro to 'I Got The Blues'..Noting remotely invasive or persistent. we are talking brief and minor. By and large a very impressive rendition with little to find fault with.
Cover (Ex) In great condition and it's not all that often that this title surfaces looking this darn sweet. The front of this title is often scuffed up quite a bit, or there's a bit of the belt flap hanging off. No such problems here..It's looking clean and unaged. With little sign of wear and all pieces fully intact. That zip is in great condition and fully operational. The rear is in equally good form. Most copies are usually peppered with indentations from the zips.. There are only a couple present on this example, but they are very minor. It certainly looks way better than most copies that surface. Edge wear is very light for this title and all the text on the spine is legible - which is unusual. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A beautiful specimen..
Inner (Ex-) Lightest ageing and no splits.
Insert (Ex) No issues at all.
