The Smiths - USA 3-Track Sampler - 1984

This is a rather rare and understated 12" sampler which was used to promote The Smiths' debut album to US radio stations. The simply-designed outer sleeve is a delight, with the distinctive font and colour scheme which identifies it with early Smiths artwork. The 12" has the tracks 'What Difference Does It Make?', 'This Charming Man' and 'Reel Around The Fountain'. Examples of this 12" are getting very difficult to find in collectable condition, and this one has been outstandingly preserved (see below).

The vinyl is in near mint condition, with practically no surface marks visible on the highly glossy vinyl and it has been played once or twice at the most. The sleeve is similarly in near mint condition, with strong sharp edges, no creases and just the mildest of corner wear in places. There is no writing, tears or damage anywhere and the record has been stored outside of the sleeve to avoid any splitting. Please see the accompanying photos; note that the ID lettering is just on the pictures and not the item itself.

Postage and Packing is free in the UK for untracked and uninsured standard postage, but please consider paying the 1.00 surcharge for tracked postage since there is, of course, nothing that can be done to find out what happened if the parcel is lost when standard postage is chosen.
