Description

The Smiths, The Queen Is Dead, vinyl LP A1. The Queen Is Dead, A2. Frankly Mr Shankly, A3. I Know Its Over, A4. Never Had No One Ever, A5. Cemetry Gates, B1. Bigmouth Strikes Again, B2. The Boy With The Thorn In His Side, B3. Vicar In A Tutu, B4. There Is A Light That Never Goes Out, B5. Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others.

The Smiths at their most consistently brilliant, very few weak links in the chain here. Morrissey at his bleakest in "I Know It's Over", his most melodramatic in the anthemic "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out", his most erudite in "Cemetry Gates" and his most flippant in "Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others". Marr produces some of his best spangle jangle pop. Plus two classic A-sides thrown in. The whole thing comes together like a dream. Their last good album before all the self-parody and uninspiring melodies set in.

Original gatefold sleeve, with a lovely picture of the boys in front of Salford Lads Club on the inside, along with all the lyrics so you can yodel along. Alain Delon graces the front. The sleeve is in excellent condition. There's also an inner sleeve with further artwork and credits.

Record plays perfectly, no scratches
