The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home.

The Smiths - 'The World Won't Listen' Australian Double LP - 1987

In all countries except Australia, this LP was pressed in the familiar single LP format carrying 18 tracks. This highly-prized and limited double vinyl version, however, contained no less than 28 tracks - incorporating all the tracks from 'Louder Than Bombs' except 'These Things Take Time' and 'Money Changes Everything' which, rather strangely, was replaced by 'The Draize Train' making this double LP a real Smiths curiosity and sought-after amongst collectors. Another surprise is the terrific picture of the band which is revealed upon opening the gatefold sleeve (see photo). The overall impression is far superior to the standard release and the packaging is described as 'sumptuous' in the Record Collector 'Top 100' article whereupon it was estimated to have a value of 40.00 in 2005 (see photo). This peculiar item is very rarely is offered for sale and this auction offers a rare chance to acquire one in collectable condition with both the original inner sleeves (see below).Both records are in strong excellent condition, with only the occasional light surface mark on the vinyl which become visible when held to the light. The lyric inner sleeves have light impressions and minor handling wear in places but no writing, damage or splits and are each also in strong excellent condition. The terrific gatefold outer sleeve is in excellent condition, with some moderate corner wear but otherwise no seam splits and no writing or damage. The corner wear is particularly noticable at the top of the spine, but elsewhere there are no real signs of wear. Please see the accompanying photos for more detail; note that the 'Ebay ID' lettering is just on the pictures and not on the item itself.
